Daleville, In 47334
County: Delaware County
GPS: 40.1140131, -85.5759978
Description:It is said that people have seen outlines of a white women figure here. There is also a myth that the red splatter on the road is where someone was murdered but people say it’s just a paint splatter. Also it has been said that a old man that used to live close to the "Witches Circle" still haunts the place today, and its said that witches still go there to do witch craft.
It is said that if you walk in a straight line pass the gravestones, you will count 13 headstones...but then when you walk back, you only count 12. Just a legend, my sister said it happened to her, and when she went to witches cirlce she heard a little girl whispering but she was with her boyfriend and three other males.
WARNING- If you go to the witches circle, definately worth the trip, you just gotta watch out for police when you go at night they will get you for trust passing, and beware of the owner. He has dogs and lets them loose if he believes people are there because they are trespassing.

The "owner" of Sharp Cemetery is actually the people of Salem Township, Daleville, In. I live one mile north of the cemetery so my family and I visit it frequently. We've conducted many of our own paranormal investigations with varying results. We've captured many light anomalies aka "orbs", unexplained shadows, electronic voice phenomenons "evp's", intelligent responses in the forms of whistling, tapping/knocking, clapping and flashlight manipulation. Our most incredible experience to date was when 8-10 questions in a row were intelligently and appropriately answered through the manipulation of a flashlight. We not only asked yes or no questions but also questions which required a numerical response at which time the flashlight was turned off and on three times when we asked how many spirits were present, then six times when we asked how many of "us" were present, which was correct! We captured this on two different video cameras too! Back to the claims the author made regarding the cemetery... there is no man who turns his dogs loose when people visit the cemetery at night. Rather, there are dogs on the adjacent property in which you can hear from the cemetery that sound much closer than they actually are. There is also a large pack of coyotes which I believe have accepted a few stray dogs that were dumped by their owners. I base this belief on an encounter my 15yr old son and I had last summer... we had ridden our bicycles to the cemetery to conduct an investigation around midnight during a full moon. We had been there about ten minutes when we realized the distant barking/yipping we were hearing was quickly getting closer. Before we could pack up our equipment, we were very obviously surrounded (the cemetery sits in the middle of a small forest with a creek running just below it) by coyotes. We turned our flashlights onto strobe to blind and stun the coyotes, quickly grabbed or gear then jumped on our bikes and hauled it outta the woods as fast as we could with the pack not far behind. When we got to the road we looked back to see that they had stopped a few feet from the entrance at which time we saw at least two dogs in with the coyotes. Since that night he and I have had a difficult time being in the cemetery after dark, especially when we go without my husband and regardless that I conceal carry (yes licensed) every time. Bottom line, anytime you enter a forest/wooded area, especially at night, it's quite possible you may encounter wild animals but as long as you use common sense and carry basic survival equipment you should be fine. We've gone back many times since then without seeing or hearing coyotes... we do however always hear the dogs down the road.
